The Parish Council have started the process to review the Neighbourhood Plan (NDP) This is initially a desk based exercise and may or may not result in changes to the NDP.

The investigations consider changes on the ground together with changes to Local Strategic and National Planning Policy this includes the new National Planning Policy Guidance, the emerging Buckinghamshire Local Plan, local planning policies for instance those seeking to protect the Beechwoods and planning permissions considered during the life of the NDP are all relevant to the review.

The authors of the made NDP are carrying out this exercise and will bring any proposed changes to the Parish Council before taking them to Buckinghamshire Council. Depending on the type and number of changes these may be considered as minor and there is a simple procedure for amendment, and no referendum will be required. If significant alterations become necessary, a wider consultation exercise may be required.

In reviewing the NDP this will bring the plan up to date and will give it greater weight in planning decision making going forward. Regular review and update is a necessary part of planning documentation.
